The Hip-Hop Emblem Rules of Use

The Public Use of The Hip-Hop Emblem:

The rules for Emblem usage are pretty simple...

It can be used freely for not-for-profit and commercial purposes only to identify the products, service or information within Hip-Hop. It cannot be used as a stand-alone or by itself and must be equal or smaller in size to other symbols or emblems on the paraphernalia (excluding Website and Webpages). See specs below.

To use for commercial purposes as actual stand-alone Hip-Hop Emblem product or service, approval must obtain explicit written approval from the HipHopBlog.com. To submit a request, click here.

* The Emblem was created for you, as a member of the Hip-Hop culture, so use it wisely and with care!
   
 

Hip-Hop Emblem Specifications:

1) You can't mess around with the Emblem - use as is.

  • The Hip-Hop emblem should always be displayed with its Glow.
  • The Emblem should never be re-invented, modified or appear as a watermark.

2) The Emblem must NOT be integrated into a logo or another emblem, or symbol and must be used in a manner that does not indicate to viewers/visitors/users of a website, digital or printed material that its use endorses the products, services, or information provided therein.

  • It should only symbolize that the website, products or printed information represent Hip-Hop.
  • Any other emblem, logo or symbol present should appear equal in size or larger than The Hip-Hop Emblem (excluding Websites and Webpages).

3) The HHE emblem files, as .gif and .jpg, and embed code are available on the hiphopemblem.com Website.

4) When you use the Emblem DO NOT remove the notice, ©2010 The Hip-Hop Emblem All Rights Reserved.

5) The HHE emblem may only be "Emblem Colors".

* The Emblem Colors may only be:

  • blue;
  • red;
  • green;
  • yellow;
  • organge;
  • black;
  • transparent glow.

The Emblem color specifications to render are:

  • RGB: Red 000, Green 000, Blue 000;
  • Yellow 00, Orange 0, Black 0;
  • Pantone: 000; and
  • HEX: 000AD0.

This Hip-Hop Emblem Quality Assurance Checklist is the official guideline on how the Hip-Hop Emblem should be displayed on all uses, including web pages, websites and offline creative such a tee shirts, collateral and paraphernalia.
